The stadium is pitch black, saved for the glow of a massive 100-foot LED screen suspended above a central stage. Ten players sit in ergonomic chairs, their fingers moving across mechanical keyboards at blistering speeds of over 400 actions per minute (APM). Around them, 20,000 screaming fans roar in unison as a virtual team fight unfolds, while millions more watch online via live broadcasts.
